Ramona Morgan is a seasoned dealmaker and business attorney with hands-on experience leading and advising both emerging and established companies, including mission-driven organizations. She has guided businesses through high-stakes transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and minority investments, negotiating business-critical partnerships and strategic deals. With a deep commitment to excellence, efficiency, and values, Ramona helps companies structure deals that drive sustainable growth while aligning with their core principles. She has worked with companies at every stage—from high-growth startups to multibillion-dollar conglomerates—bringing a results-driven approach that ensures legal strategy supports long-term success.
Ramona began her career at Cleary Gottlieb, where she practiced in New York, London, and Paris, handling complex cross-border deals. She later served as Director and Assistant General Counsel at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, where she played a key role in structuring industry-wide initiatives and market infrastructure strategies.
An entrepreneur at heart, Ramona founded and bootstrapped Ruth’s Beauty, scaling it from the ground up while serving as general counsel. This firsthand experience gives her a deep understanding of the challenges of building, funding, and growing a business. She is known for cutting through complexity, negotiating with confidence, and delivering practical, business-first solutions.
Her work is grounded in strategy, integrity, and impact—ensuring every deal reflects the values and vision of the organizations she supports.
Pro Bono and Community Involvement
Ramona Morgan is a board member and treasurer of the Adelaide Sanford Institute, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to improving outcomes for children in central Brooklyn. She is a member of the Phillips Academy Andover Alumni Council.
